i have compaq CQ50-107AU and am installing win xp. the laptop was purchased without os and hence no cds were given by HP. currentl i require driver for ethernet card as i wish to access the internet from my laptop.

pl. advise the link. thanks for other tips on this site

The normal problem which can occur is error LED blinking in printer when a print is given. This is due to page settings. ie (printer is configured for A4 and if you give a print of letter size) This happens mostly in Windows XP/Vista platform, to aviod it override the settings from default to ‘Shrink to A4′ option at the Printer ‘Preference’ menu.

i am living this problem and what do you told in this document i do but still i have problem …

For Windows 7 or Vista…
Boot from the CD, select the repair option and launch the command prompt, type these commands

bootrec.exe /fixboot
bootrec.exe /fixmbr

Reboot
